Prior to becoming a massage therapist, I graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (health, science, psychology) in 1997.
I later attended Lane Community College's Massage Therapy Program and was licensed in 2003. The program was an intensive 550-hour course that focused on the Swedish style of massage and body work. Much emphasis was also placed on Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Myofascial therapies. In addition, as a student of massage I became well-rounded in the subjects of anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, pathology, communications, and ethics.
Today
My primary goal is to provide a natural healing approach that will maximize your wellness and comfort. I achieve this through a blend of relaxation and theraputic massage techniques.
I am fascinated with Deep Tissue and Myofascial therapies, and continue to focus my continuing education in these areas. |
